More Nigerian artistes are collaborating with their international counterparts – the latest being popular rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun better known as Vector and the very popular Jamaican dancehall-Ragga star Mavado.
The history of the collabo, we are told,
dates as far back as last year when Vector’s label YSG Entertainment
got in touch with Mavado’s team for both artistes to record a duet. ‘They responded positively and when the deal was sealed, they sent us the song with Mavado’s verse on it‘, a rep from YSG tells NET.
A video was planned for the song but due
to the artistes’ very busy work schedules, they couldn’t get a set a
convenient time to shoot the video.
So when the Nigerian Entertainment Awards 2012 show
came up and it was confirmed that Vector would be attending, his team
called Mavado again and worked out a time to shoot the video.
‘After the NEAs, Vector left New York and traveled to Miami to get the shoot done, it’s going to be a very dope trac‘, Vector’s rep promises.
