APC Warns Against Insulting Buhari And Government Officials
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has denounced what it called the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s “unjustifiable insults and unguarded statements” on President Muhammadu Buhari and other individuals from the APC.
The APC said in the outcome of last Wednesday’s presidential visit, PDP‘s representative, Olisa Metuh in a statement issued on Thursday amongst others called Mr. Buhari an “unrepentant despot” and a “rightist”.
APC said PDP blamed ministers and APC individuals for debasement while further accusing the president of a particular hostile to defilement battle.
APC’s national director, John Odigie-Oyegun, in a statement Saturday said, “The APC is concerned by PDP‘s inciting statements. Regard for the workplace of the president or heads of government in any clime is not a matter of decision but rather a municipal commitment endorsed by laws. Being an opposition party or critic is no permit to issue oppressive, intemperate and derogatory statements on government authorities; most particularly the president of the nation.
“The PDP has demonstrated that it is not a gathering to be trusted or considered important. Just as of late, the PDP said in a December 24, 2015 statement: ‘we ask that Nigerians ought not plan of action to hauling insults on the President’.
“For the umpteenth time, the APC urges Nigerians who see merit in the war that the President Buhari-drove administration is waging against debasement, not to be diverted by the PDP and their operators of defilement to discredit the war. For the records, the ongoing war against defilement is not particular. Anyone liable of degenerate practices will confront the law.
“In the event that the PDP has any verification of debasement against any APC part or minister as charged, we educate that they approach any with respect to the counter join organizations constitutionally commanded to handle such cases.
