The affirmed pioneer of the infamous group of bank burglars, Clement Abanara, was captured by the police in a condo at the Osayande Estate throughout the weekend as per the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT in Benin, Edo State.
It was accumulated that the suspect, otherwise called 'Million', professedly joined in the Lekki, Ikorodu, Festac and Agbara bank thefts in Lagos where his posse carried off a large number of naira, pulverized a few vehicles and left a few persons harmed, including policemen and a pregnant lady, dead.
The IRT, drove by CSP Abba Kyari, had in November 2015, propelled a manhunt for the bank burglars.
Kelly Fotor, one of the suspects captured at a wedding in Sapele, Delta State a year ago, told Vanguard that Million is an accomplished hijacker, who has more than eight rifles in his ownership and camouflages as a lady amid operations.
Million was once pronounced needed by Lagos State previous Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, in December 2012, after he drove a four-man pack of criminals to steal previous Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Tofeeq Adeniji, in Lagos, and took him through the streams to Delta State, where he requested N30 million as payment.
Four individuals from the pack captured with one of their lenders by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, took the agents to a manor constructed by Million, yet met the house vacant.
A source told Vanguard that the agents trailed Million's wife to Warri Delta State, where she was captured before taking the police to Benin, where her spouse was captured in a leased loft.
