Researchers asked more than 8,000 men and women how long they have sex with their partners and how much foreplay they engage in before doing the deed.
Subjects were split into groups based on their go-to sex practices: Basic sex (kissing, cuddling, vaginal intercourse), basic plus oral sex, just intercourse, and all-inclusive (everything plus manual stimulation).
Which group took home the gold for longest bump-and-grind session? The all-inclusives, lasting an average of almost 30 minutes compared to 28 minutes for the basic-plus-oral group, 17.5 minutes (basic sex) and 11.5 minutes (just intercourse.)
Look, we know it’s a little obvious: The more foreplay you have, the longer you’ll be tangled up with your lady in bed. But if more pre-sex fondling leads to roughly 30 minutes of action, who’s complaining?
Your move: Hit multiple hot spots at once. It’ll send her to ecstasy—and maximize your pleasure, too. Some researchers believe there’s something called an A-spot, located far inside the vagina on the side closest to her belly button. Stroke it and she’ll lubricate almost instantly, says sex expert Tracey Cox. “Put one lubed finger into her vagina as far as it will comfortably go. Use the whole length of your finger to explore the front wall of her vagina,” she says.
Now triple the sensation: Stick both index and middle fingers inside her, and stick out your thumb like you’re hitchhiking. It’ll pull your fingers more snugly against her vaginal walls, stimulating both A-spot and G-spot simultaneously. Then use your thumb to also stimulate her clitoris, and gently twist your hand.
