Diego Costa scored twice at Stamford Bridge, but the Brazilian missed the opportunity to earn his side a massive three points on the Dutchman’s return to Premier League management
Oscar missed a penalty as Guus Hiddink saw Chelsea draw 2-2 with Watford in his first game back in charge at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
Diego Costa opened the scoring in the first half, but Watford pulled level through a Troy Deeney penalty after Nemanja Matic was penalised for handball.
The visitors went in front as Odion Ighalo’s effort was deflected beyond Thibaut Courtois, but Costa scored again after connecting with a Willian cross.
But, after substitute Eden Hazard was brought down in the box by Valon Behrami, Oscar sent his spot kick high over the bar and Hiddink was forced to settle for a point.
