Chris Okotie is in the
news again and this time it’s the de-registeraion of his Fresh
Democratic political party, the platform on which he has twice run for
the post of President of the country.
The Independent National Electoral
Commission, INEC on Thursday, December 6, 2012 announced the
de-registeration of 28 political parties including Okotie’s. According
to the secretary of the commission, Abdullahi Kangama, the decision was reached to make possible a free and fair election come 2015.
Meanwhile, Okotie is yet to issue a statement concerning the development.
