‘MTV Meets…with MTN.
The Konvict label boss who has survived want and uncertainty, and successfully built one of the most impressive music careers of this era, will be joined by globally respected music enterpreneur and hip-hop icon, Russel Simmons, as well as model Alek Wek, former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo and Togolese international football star, Emmanuel Adebayor.
The show which is a motivational youth empowerment and mentorship initiative, debuted last year and proved to be an immiedtae hit with young people all over Africa and beyond. MTV announced, at a screening in Lagos last week, that the new season will hit television screen across Africa on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
According to MTV’s Alex Okosi, this season will, like the previous one, bring the youths closer to their favourite celebrities and leaders from the entertainment, politics, fashion and sport industires.
‘Each episode will afford young Africans an opportunity to meet with and ask questions from the selected mentors. Questions from fields including entrepreneurship, education, youth culture, politics, sport, racism, gender issues and the African Renaissance.’
