It seems that President Muhammadu Buhari has become a symbol of integrity for the African continent.

During the build up to the 2015 general elections, many politicians across Nigeria placed the posters of the then All Progressives Congress presidential candidate side by side with theirs to win the hearts of voters.

The trend of politicians riding on the crest of President Buhari to convince voters to vote for them has gone outside the shores of the country.

Politicians in Niger Republic are currently using Buhari’s pictures as a sign of their integrity to convince voters in the coming elections.

The campaign vehicle of the president of the country, who is seeking a second term in office, displayed Buhari’s picture beside his.

Some politicians in Niger reportedly refer to themselves as Buharin Niger.

The Peoples Democratic Party also showed Buhari’s poster placed side by side with that of their candidate in Niger state.

Last week President Buhari during the African Union summit was pictured sitting in front of the Niger flag. However, it was only the camera angle and the Niger table was merely close to Buhari.
