A pregnant woman, Esther Oluwadiya, has reportedly died after a fight she had with her neighbour, Tawa Biodun, leading to the police arresting and detaining Biodun in connection with the death of the woman.
PM News report that the two women who were neighbours at 15, Adeyinka street, Arida bus stop, Ikotun, Lagos State, got into a quarrel when the 16-year-old daughter of Biodun and the 13-year-old son of the late Oluwadiya, were fighting and instead of Biodun separating them, she allegedly encouraged her daughter to go and dress up properly to fight Oluwadiya’s son who is younger than her.
The deceased who was heavy with a set of twin, heard what Biodun was telling her daughter and came out to confront her and they exchanged harsh words.
In the heat of the quarrel, Biodun allegedly slapped Oluwadiya, an action which led to a fight during which Oluwadiya developed complications. She was rushed to Igando General Hospital where she was referred to LUTH where she eventually died.
The matter was reported to the police and Biodun was arrested and detained at the Ikotun Police station before the case was transferred to the SCID at Panti, Yaba, where she is currently being detained for further investigation.
Neighbours told PM News correspondent the late Oluwadiya as an easy going woman and was provoked by the suspect.
